Ok, I usually don't like the idea of candied yams. Super gringo, if you know what I mean. But Bert suggested them as a part of his Thanksgiving tradition, and I found a recipe that sounded cool enough... and we found most of the ingredients at the Farmer's Market we are addicted to. Ingredients including the most delicious and juicy fresh ginger I have ever sliced into. The recipe received rave reviews at the table, and even the kids ate it! The sauce had orange juice, maple syrup, fresh ginger, cinnamon sticks and orange peel. Yum.

Making Candied Yams for Thanksgiving
