A couple of days ago, my mom and I took Leona over to Livermore to meet some relatives I had never met. Teal and Perri are sisters. Their grandfather Lars is brother to my grandmother Olivia, making us second cousins. Their grandmother's sister wrote a very cool book, Alaska's Daughter: An Eskimo Memoir of the Early Twentieth Century.
